Burglars reportedly stole $30,000 from the home of tragic NASCAR star Greg Biffle - weeks after his death.

The NASCAR community was plunged deep into mourning on Thursday December 18 when the 55-year-old Biffle and six others - including his wife Cristina and their children Emma and Ryder - died in a horrific plane crash in North Carolina.

Now, as final preparations are made for a public remembrance event in Charlotte on Friday to honor the victims, comes another bombshell in the form of this grim crime at the Biffle family’s home in Mooresville.

Police report states $30,000 in cash missing

Per a report from WCNC in Charlotte, the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office was called to the property shortly after 6pm local time on Thursday January 8. An incident report states that $30,000 in cash and a backpack were missing. As yet, no arrests have been announced.

The despicable crime is the latest awful event to hit NASCAR in recent weeks, following the Biffle plane crash and the house fire which claimed the life of Dennis Hamlin (father of Denny) and left his wife Mary Lou badly injured.

Friday’s remembrance service in Charlotte will take place at Bojangles Coliseum, with a start time of 11am (doors open at 10am). There will be a live stream for those unable to attend.
