NASCAR star Brad Keselowski has revealed some good news about his recovery from a badly broken leg.
The RFK Racing star and co-owner broke his leg on a December ski trip with his family – not on the slopes, but slipping on ice when stepping out of his car to take his daughter to a ski lesson.
A lengthy surgery followed, as well as an even lengthier recovery. Not only was Keselowski's femur badly broken, but he was also left with severe nerve damage which he revealed earlier this year meant that he lost feeling 'from my knee up to my hip'.
The veteran racer recovered enough by the season-opening Daytona 500 that he didn't miss any races, although at that time he was still walking with a (heavily sponsored) cane.

Keselowski: Nerves in broken leg starting to reconnect
Keselowski gave his first update in a little while on social media on Thursday ahead of Sunday's Cup Series return to North Wilkesboro, revealing that his recovery has been going so well that he believes he'll be able to get back to 100 per cent.
Reposting a fan's question about his recovery process, he wrote: "Doing really well, getting this question a lot so I’ll answer here.
"My nerves have started to reconnect and now I’m beginning to fully walk again. Lots of progress over last 3 weeks. Feels like 100% recovery will be possible."
Considering the severity of the damage he sustained when he fell, that was far from a sure thing. In fact, he revealed earlier in the year that a month out from the accident, he wasn't sure if he'd even be able to get back to walking.
"Until about three to five weeks in," he said at Daytona, "there was a question of if I was going to walk again – let alone drive a race car."
