Corey LaJoie has confirmed that he'll be attempting to run not one, but two races next month at Daytona.

The 34-year-old has already been confirmed for an Open entry in the Daytona 500 driving the No. 99 RFK car, and will be adding the Truck Series race to that in the No. 75 for Henderson Motorsports.

Parker Kligerman was behind the wheel of the No. 75 last year and actually crossed the line as the race winner before failing post-race inspection, handing the win to Corey Heim.

Team co-owner Debbie Henderson-Creasy said in the statement announcing LaJoie's ride: “We won that race on the track. We went through the appeal process. We respected the decision. But, that experience stays with you – and it fuels you.”

LaJoie: Cool to pick up the baton from Kligerman

In a team release, LaJoie himself said: “It’s been fun putting this deal together for many reasons. First being, Parker [Kligerman] is a good friend, and it’s cool to pick up the baton from him where he left off last year.

"Debbie Henderson-Creasy and Chris Carrier have the passion to continue Charlie’s legacy with Henderson Motorsports, and there’s no better place to do that than the World Center of Racing.

"Lastly, to involve longtime friends and partners in Built.com, as well as Alliance Driveaway Solutions, really makes it a family outing. Ready to go put the No. 75 in the wind and see what we’ve got.”

LaJoie's crew chief will be Chris Carrier, who said: “This team is moving forward to race competitively at Daytona with great people, great driver, great sponsorship, and ownership from great history in this business of stock car racing. I am anxious to see what we can do at Daytona."
