Actor and NASCAR star Frankie Muniz has revealed that he will return to the Truck Series full-time in 2026, despite his own expectations.

The 40-year-old admitted when announcing his 2026 plans that he planned to retire from racing at the end of 2025, but cited ‘unfinished business’ for his decision to run a full program in the Truck Series and also the SRO GT4 America series.

Muniz missed four races late this year after breaking his wrist in an accident at home while trying to change a battery in his Ring doorbell, but looked in some of his best form of the season when he returned in October.

The Malcolm in the Middle star will drive for Team Reaume once again, calling them ‘my family’ in his social media statement.

Muniz: I’m all in

“I thought I was done,” he wrote. “I really did. Hung up the helmet, said ‘that’s a wrap’ on racing… then realized I’ve still got way too much unfinished business on track.”

“So here’s the news I’ve been dying to share...I’m coming back FULL TIME in 2026.

“Full season in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series with my Team Reaume family. Couldn’t be more pumped to be home.

“AND full season in the SRO GT4 America series in a Ford Mustang GT4 with Techsport Racing, co-driving with my dude Tyler Stone. We’re hunting podiums and we’re not asking nicely.

“Thrilled to have @forthepeople and Aerial Titans back on board as well as many soon to be announced new partners. We still have some opportunities available if you're interested!

“38 races + the Malcolm in the Middle reboot dropping next year = the busiest, craziest, most fun year of my life so far. I’m not just back… I’m all in. 2026, let’s gooooo.”
