Saturday's Cars Tour West finale was red flagged on the 16th lap to pay tribute to NASCAR legend Greg Biffle.

The race at Kevin Harvick’s Kern Raceway was red flagged for several minutes with the cars parked on the track on lap 16 – in tribute to Biffle's racing number – as the PA announcer read out a tribute to the former Truck and Busch Series champion, who passed away this week aged just 55.

Biffle, his wife Cristina, and children Ryder and Emma, were among seven people on his plane when it crashed at Statesville Regional Airport on Thursday morning.

All seven people on board the plane perished, with Craig Wadsworth, Dennis Dutton and his son, Jack, the others to be killed.
