Denny Hamlin has accused NASCAR of lying when it comes to the ongoing lawsuit between 23XI Racing, Front Row Motorsports, and the stock car racing series.
23XI and FRM sued NASCAR last October, alleging anti-competitive and monopolistic practices, with the case having raged on in the background of the season ever since.
The case is scheduled to hit court on December 1, but first, a judicial settlement conference will take place to see if the two sides can come to some kind of agreement in order to avoid heading to trial.

However, whilst Hamlin - who is a co-owner of 23XI and also races in the Cup Series for Joe Gibbs Racing - admits he hopes that the conference does result in a settlement, he claims it would take a change of thinking on NASCAR's behalf to make it happen.
“I hope so,” Hamlin told The Charlotte Observer, when asked if the settlement conference could yield an early resolution.
“I think that realistically, they are going to have to change their thinking when it comes to settlement for us to get remotely close.”
Hamlin continued, stating that NASCAR's claims that they don't know what 23XI and FRM want are simply false.
"They absolutely do [know what the teams want]," Hamlin added.
"But they’re going to have to change their mindset if we’re going to end this thing.”
