Kaulig Racing and Ram have confirmed their fifth NASCAR Truck Series driver for the 2026 season, and the winner of their 'Race for the Seat' competition.
Ram is returning NASCAR this year, providing Kaulig with five trucks for an expanded 2026 program. Three of their full-time drivers have already been announced, with a fourth truck set to be used to feature free agent drivers on a rotating basis.
The fifth and final truck driver's identity was unknown until Friday's season finale of the Race for the Seat TV show, when Timothy 'Mini' Tyrrell was crowned the winner of the competition and full-time driver of the No. 14 truck.
The show took 15 drivers and pitted them against each other over the course of weeks, culminating in Friday's finale and Tyrrell's victory.
Kaulig: Mini is ready for NASCAR
Speaking after earning his seat for 2026, Tyrrell said: “I’m just overwhelmed. Winning Race for the Seat is something I never in a million years figured would happen.
"I came into this hoping to learn a thing or two, grow a bit, and see if I could hang with a bunch of great drivers.
I’m thankful from the bottom of my heart for my family, for everybody who’s been in my corner, and for Ram and Kaulig Racing for this opportunity – taking a chance on a kid that comes from grassroots racing and elevating me to a professional level. I’m gonna work my tail off to make everybody proud.”
Team owner Matt Kaulig added: “Race for the Seat allowed us to evaluate drivers in a way you normally don’t get the chance to. Over eight episodes, we saw how they competed, prepared, adapted, and handled pressure across different tracks and challenges. Mini proved he was ready for this opportunity, and we’re excited to welcome him to the Kaulig Racing team.”
