2025 NASCAR Xfinity Series champion Jesse Love has withdrawn from the action at the 2026 Chili Bowl after being involved in a scary wreck.
Love was out on track in the final preliminary race of the week on Friday night and looking to qualify for Saturday's feature race action.
In the end, Two-time Chili Bowl champion Logan Seavey came out on top in the thrilling 30-lap main event, with Love crossing the line in sixth position to qualify himself for the B-main feature.
However, as he did so, he and Giovanni Scelzi in the #71 made contact, which sent Love's car into a violent wreck, rolling multiple times before coming to a halt on the track.
Motorsport.com confirmed after the race that Love needed to be evaluated, but there has been no indication as to what those evaluations concluded.
We must stress there have been no indications that any serious injuries have been suffered, but at the same time, there has not been confirmation that he is injury-free, either. However, we do now know that Love will be taking no further part in this year's Chili Bowl action, as confirmed by FOX Sports' Bob Pockrass.
We will, of course, bring you any further updates on Love's condition if they emerge.
UPDATE: Jesse Love wrote the following on social media: "Thank you to everyone who reached out, I’m okay. Had the rowdies up on their feet Friday night and crashed at the line. My body is gonna recover. I’m just more upset than anything now. Grateful for the opportunity with Blake & hopefully I can stay more current this year on the dirt."

Jesse Love on Chili Bowl opportunity
Love has certainly been keeping busy since lifting the Xfinity Series championship at Phoenix in November.
Later that month, he took part in the Super2 finale in Australia - the feeder series to the Supercars championship - and this week, he was keen to back out on track once again, having attended last year.
“Coming here last year and hanging out with two of my best friends, Daison Pursley and Chad Boat, I had a lot of fun watching them and supporting them,” Love said earlier this week, via NASCAR.com.
“It was tough not being in the driver’s seat. I wanted to make that a reality, and we were able to do that this year.
“It’s tough to put a deal together when you’re not a full-time guy, but obviously being known in the pavement world helps a little bit and being a champion helps a little bit.”
“I work out with Alex Bowman sometimes," Love continued. "And we’re part of the same driver development program with Josh Wise. We always talk about the Chili Bowl and dirt racing in general because there really isn’t anybody else to talk to about it.
“Basically, this is an Alex Bowman car that Blake Harris bought. Because I have that connection with Alex, Alex was able to throw my name in the hat with Blake, who gave me a call a couple of months ago and asked if I wanted to do something.”
