Want to know something weird? Cleetus McFarland isn't just driving in Saturday's NASCAR Truck Series race at Michigan, he's also serving as the race's Grand Marshal.
The popular YouTuber continues his NASCAR journey this weekend, having finished six laps down in an eventful O'Reilly Series race last weekend at Nashville after a couple of spins.
This weekend will be his second career race in the Truck Series, having made his debut at Daytona back in February. That race ended poorly (and quickly) for the 31-year-old, hitting the inside wall hard on Lap 6 after spinning out by himself.
McFarland has finished both of his O'Reilly Series races six laps down, and is still on the hunt for his first full race without spinning his car.

McFarland to pull rare double duty at Michigan
He will now get a chance to deliver the most famous words in motorsport, before presumably hot-footing it back to his own truck to follow his own instructions.
“I’m fired up to serve as the Grand Marshal in the DQS Solutions & Staffing 250 Powered By Precision Vehicle Logistics!” McFarland said in a statement. “I’ve never done anything like this before, but it’s going to be a super cool opportunity to get to do this before the race. We’re going to be ripping it on Saturday, and I hope to see you all out there.”
Joe Fowler, President of Michigan International Speedway, added: “Bringing a wheelman like Cleetus McFarland to the heart of the automotive capital is a perfect pairing.
"Cleetus is a natural-born entertainer and one of the biggest names in racing today – there’s no doubt he’s going to energize the crowd before putting on a show for our fans as the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series returns to the Irish Hills.”
McFarland confirms Daytona 500 dreams
Speaking this week about his future plans in the sport, McFarland said: “When I set out with this with Greg Biffle, I called him up and I said, ‘Biff, I want to run to Daytona 500', and he's like laying it out for me. And I'm like, ‘Well damn, can’t I run that? What about next year? Could I run it if I ran ARCA this year?’ and he’s like, ‘No, that’s crazy and maybe the year after'.
“And I started running ARCA, and I realised, I have no intentions of running Cup or the Daytona 500 anytime soon because I would just get absolutely wrecked, literally. It's just a way bigger skill gap than I imagined, and I realised that immediately.”
He later continued: “Now, looking at the ultimate goal, It's to make the Daytona 500, but I'm having so much fun that I think it's gonna end up being more than that.
“One day I'll race the Daytona 500. I'm in no rush. But like now I'm really - I'm talking here with Squirrel [McNutt] here, and we're like, ‘We want to run full seasons of ARCA.’
“We want to just enjoy the hell out of the process and no rush.”
