NASCAR Cup Series driver Daniel Suarez has revealed he already has a list of improvements for his new team to work on ahead of the 2026 season.

Suarez revealed last July that he would be leaving Trackhouse Racing by mutual consent at the end of the 2025 campaign, having spent five seasons with the team.

With a record of two victories, 24 top 10s and 75 top 10s in the Cup Series, it was only a matter of time before Suarez found a new home, which he eventually did at Spire Motorsports, signing to drive their No. 7 Chevrolet full-time in 2026.

With that said, it made sense that Suarez was the Spire Motorsports driver representative at North Wilkesboro Speedway on Tuesday as NASCAR Cup Series testing took place for the first time this season.

Speaking after taking part in the test, Suarez thought it had been a productive day for himself and the team, revealing that he already had a list of improvements that he wants them to make ahead of the new season.

“It’s been super-productive for us, just to learn from each other, learn to communicate, learn about the car,” Suárez said, via NASCAR.com.

“I already have a list of items that I want to improve, because what you see in the car in the shop is one thing. When you have the opportunity to make some laps, it’s a whole new perspective.

"So with everything being new for me, I already have my list of items to improve once we get back to the shop, but the main thing also is the communication, just to make sure that we’re on the same page.”

Suarez will compete in his first NASCAR race for Spire in The Clash exhibition at Bowman Gray Stadium on February 1.
