Daniel Suarez has spoken about his post-race altercation with former team-mate Ross Chastain at Las Vegas on Sunday.
FOX cameras spotted the pair speaking after the chequered flag, having a conversation which quickly devolved into shoving before officials got between the former Trackhouse Racing team-mates as they continued jawing at each other.
While Chastain refused to comment on the incident when walking by reporters afterward, Suarez had more than enough to say of his own – calling the No. 1 car driver 'two-faced' in their relationship.
The pair raced side by side at Trackhouse for four years from 2022-25, until the Mexican driver was let go at the end of last season and caught on with Spire instead, to drive the No. 7 car.

Suarez: Our relationship has been always very weird
Suarez told reporters at the track after the confrontation: “I was having a conversation, and [Chastain] was all spun out. He’s just upset or something.
"I mean, for some reason, our relationship has been always very weird – almost like a little bit of two-faced on his part for some reason. And today I saw actually what I thought he had in his mind for a while.
"But, I mean, I don’t have any hard feelings to anyone. I’m just doing my thing, having a great time. But it just sounds like he thinks that way. At the end of the day, it’s not my first rodeo.
"I have had to go through a lot to be able to get to this point. And that’s just who I am, and that’s the journey I have had to take to be able to come from a different country. So it’s just part of it.”
