Team Penske star Joey Logano says it is "all or nothing" heading into Sunday's NASCAR Cup Series elimination race at Martinsville Speedway.

Following Chase Briscoe's win at Talladega last time out, he advanced to the Championship 4, joining teammate Denny Hamlin, who advanced after his success in Las Vegas earlier this month.

That leaves two spots up for grabs heading into this weekend, with Christopher Bell and Kyle Larson currently the drivers occupying third and fourth spots on points at present.

However, a win for any driver currently in the bottom four of the standings would see them advance, with either Larson or Bell missing out as a result.

Logano previews crucial playoff race at Martinsville

Logano is one of the four drivers currently facing elimination, and given his hefty gap to the cutoff line (-38), the Team Penske star is under no illusion as to what is required in Virginia this weekend.

“It’s all or nothing,” Logano said after last weekend's race at Talladega.

"Stage points aren’t going to matter. Nothing’s going to matter. We’re too far back.

"We’ve just got to go win.”

Willam Byron agrees

One of Logano's rivals, William Byron, is in full agremeent with the three-time champion, with the Hendrick Motorsports star also facing being cut when the black and white checkered flag drops on Sunday.

Byron's situation is particularly frustrating, given he was in contention towards the front of the field in both of the last two races before being caught up in late wrecks.

“It’s not ideal, but we know what we have to do this weekend," Byron said.

“The only option is to win. The last two weeks, not having a better finish for how well we were running is what hurts.

“All focus is on Martinsville and how we can run up front all day. The fall there hasn’t been the strongest for us, but I do think we’ve made a lot of strides on that package.”
