NASCAR outfit Kaulig Racing has announced a fresh deal for 276-time Cup Series driver Corey LaJoie to run in one of their trucks at an upcoming race.

Kaulig Racing entered the Truck Series in 2026 in collaboration with Ram as the iconic manufacturer made its highly anticipated return to the sport.

The team is running a total of five cars throughout the year, four with full-time drivers. However, one of their trucks, the No. 25 Ram 1500, does not have a full-time driver.

Instead, Ram's Free Agent Program is set to put different racers in each week, with these being a mix of legendary drivers, rising stars, and free agents.

So far this season, the team has already had Tony Stewart, Ty Dillon, Colin Braun and LaJoie himself in the car, and now, the latter will return at Rockingham on April 3.

"No matter what series in NASCAR, the competition is tough," LaJoie said in an official statement confirming the news.

"Having the opportunity to work with (No. 25 Crew Chief) Alex Yontz and the No. 25 group in back-to-back weeks will be great for continuity and building Kaulig’s notebook for their new Ram teams.

"Rockingham is a special place for me, having won three late model races there and running second to Tyler Reddick in the last ARCA East race there.

"It’s always nice going somewhere that you’ve been to victory lane."

LaJoie's season so far

2026 has been a busy year for LaJoie so far, filling in for Brad Keselowski at RFK Racing in the Cup Series Clash at Bowman Gray Stadium before running for the same outfit as an open entry at this year's Daytona 500, even if he did ultimately fail to qualify.

Friday's truck race at Darlington saw LaJoie back on a NASCAR track once again, but he could only manage 21st position.

With a two-week gap between now and Rockingham, LaJoie and the team will no doubt be working hard behind the scenes to see what improvements they can make to the car in hopes of securing a stronger result next time out.
