Xfinity Series champion Jesse Love is expecting more NASCAR drivers to make the switch to the Supercars in the off-season in future.
Love, who shocked the NASCAR community to beat Connor Zilisch to the Xfinity Series championship at Phoenix in the 2025 season finale, is racing in the Super2 Series in Adelaide this weekend - the support series for Supercars.
The Menlo Park, California native is driving for Image Racing down under in their No. 53 across two races in Adelaide, the first of which ended in a non-classification for the NASCAR star.
Love is not the only NASCAR driver taking part in the event this weekend either. Team Penske star Austin Cindric is driving for Tickford Racing in the Supercars championship, finishing 23rd in two of the three races in that series so far.
Love: More drivers will make Supercars switch
Despite the results having not been glowing for the NASCAR drivers so far, Love is adamant that there will soon be a flood of drivers looking to try out something different and race in Supercars.
“I'm sure that there is 25 Cup, Xfinity, and Truck drivers watching this weekend that want to be doing what I'm doing this weekend,” Love told Supercars.
“So, I'm sure that now that I've finally done it and I'm probably one of the first guys that come over and do it, that there's going to be kind of a flood of NASCAR guys wanting to come over here and do it now. They know it's possible.”
Love continued, adding that he also wants to return and give it another shot again in the future.
“Absolutely, I want to come back," he continued. "Part of the reason that I've been a little bit frustrated this weekend is I had some expectations, right? And expectations can ruin it, right?
“But, I want to keep doing this so I can get a chance in the main game [Supercars] and really start learning even more. So, it's probably going to take me a couple outings in the Super2 to really get to the level that I want to be at before I come over here.
“Like, I'm very aware of the skill of all these guys and all the drivers and I'm not going to come in and say, ‘Oh, I want to go straight to the main game.’ Like, I understand the level of talent and expertise these guys have is unlike anything I even expected coming into it.
“I thought I knew coming into this event what it was going to be like. And honestly, it's kind of blown my expectations out of the water."
