NASCAR star Chris Buescher says he is honored to be sporting the colors of Liverpool Football Club after his RFK Racing team unveiled a stunning new collaboration.
RFK Racing, who are co-owned by Fenway Sports Group, the owners of Liverpool FC, made the announcement this morning that Buescher will run a Liverpool-inspired paint scheme at Sonoma Raceway on June 28, with sponsorship backing from Trimble.
It's a huge year for soccer in the United States, with the country hosting the vast majority of the 2026 FIFA World Cup in June and July, while Liverpool themselves are also set to head to the States later in the year.
Liverpool FC’s highly anticipated U.S. preseason tour consists of a string of friendly matches ahead of the 2026/27 Premier League campaign, including games in Nashville (July 25), New York (July 29), and Chicago (August 2).

Taking to social media after the announcement was made, Buescher made his feelings on the collaboration very clear: "Alright, I’m logging back on one more time this week to say this crossover is pretty cool.
"I’m not the best soccer player in the world, but what an honor to carry the Liverpool FC colors. I don't feel worthy!!
"Going to give it our best effort in Sonoma."

'Special' opportunity for RFK
Speaking in an official team statement earlier in the day, RFK Racing President Chip Bowers called it a special opportunity and a powerful moment for the team.
“This is a special opportunity to connect three world-class organizations,” said Bowers.
“Liverpool FC has one of the most passionate global fanbases in sports, and Trimble’s sponsorship made it possible to bring that global energy to life on one of our cars in Sonoma, at a time when the world’s attention is on soccer in the U.S.
"It’s a powerful moment for all three brands.”
