NASCAR silly season continued on Friday, with Spire Motorsports announcing a new driver deal ahead of the 2026 campaign.

In an official statement, the team confirmed that it had signed Connor Mosack to drive its No. 7 Chevrolet Silverado at select races in the Truck Series this upcoming season.

The Charlotte-born driver has previously raced 70 times in NASCAR national series races, with 34 outings in the O'Reilly Auto Parts Series and 36 in the Truck Series. In fact, six of the latter came whilst driving part-time for Spire Motorsports in 2024.

Last season, Mosack raced full-time for McAnally-Hilgemann Racing, driving their No. 81 Chevrolet and achieving four top-10 finishes throughout the campaign.

Mosack eager for return

“I’m eager to return to Spire Motorsports in 2026,” Mosack explained in the team's statement.

"I enjoyed my time with the team two years ago, and I’m looking forward to working with Brian (Pattie) and the No. 7 team again.

"Representing Friends of Jaclyn Foundation is a responsibility that’s important to me. I was introduced to the founder, Denis Murphy, several years ago, and was really moved by his story and mission.

"I’ve been a part of the Adopt-A-Child program in the past and worked with two young boys, both who were battling pediatric cancer, and their families. To witness those challenges, firsthand, was very impactful.

"Raising awareness for what FOJ is doing is important to me.”
