William Darrell ‘Bubba’ Wallace Jr. really announced his arrival on the NASCAR Cup Series scene when he finished second to William Byron in Rookie of the Year voting in 2018.

The man from Mobile, Alabama - who drives the No. 23 Toyota for 23XI Racing - has since claimed three race wins in the sport’s premier series.

His most recent success came in an iconic setting as he won the Brickyard 400 in Indianapolis in July 2025. It ended a three-year winless drought and repaid the faith that team co-owner Michael Jordan had always retained in him.

Bubba’s maiden Cup Series win had also come in an iconic race as he prevailed at Talladega Superspeedway back in 2021.

Wallace, who finished in 11th position in the final Cup Series standings in 2025 (his best of 10th came in 2023), also has six Truck Series victories on his career resume. The first coming at Martinsville back in 2013.

Bubba married wife Amanda (nee Carter) on New Year’s Eve in 2022 and the couple welcomed their first child - a son, Becks Hayden - in September 2024. They are now expecting a second child in March 2026.
