NASCAR star Bubba Wallace threw shade at his Toyota teammates after a heated post-race discussion with Ty Gibbs at Atlanta on Sunday.

That discussion came after a wreck out on the track when Wallace was battling for fourth position at the end of stage two and was spun by contact from Gibbs in the No. 54.

Wallace was able to get his car back under control without any damage, but he lost a load of positions in doing so, and, of course, the opportunity to secure a bunch of stage points.

Post-race, Gibbs said that he approached Wallace to apologize, but the conversation didn't exactly go to plan, according to both.

Bubba Wallace: Toyota teammates don't race well together

“We’ll be fine," Wallace told the TNT Sports broadcast when asked about what was said in the discussion with Gibbs.

"He had the opportunity to give there a lot, and he didn’t do that. So, when I told him that, he quickly went on the defense and said, ‘Don’t block.’

“When you hit me square in the bumper, it means you just ran right into me. The block was clean.

“So, yeah, that’s Toyota teammates. We don’t race very well together.”

Ty Gibbs: Bubba Wallace showed disrespect

Gibbs also offered his perspective of the conversation, accusing Wallace of being disrespectful.

“I went to tell him sorry because he cleared himself," Gibbs explained, via NASCAR.com. "And then, unfortunately, he showed a lot of disrespect.

“It seems like it didn’t work out for him. I tried to help him out there at the end and push him to win but it didn't happen."

Wallace was ultimately classified 29th after being hit with a penalty after the race, demoting him from second. Gibbs, meanwhile, finished fourth.
