NASCAR star Ty Dillon has revealed the 'brutal' hand injuries he has suffered during his recent Cup Series races.
The Kaulig Racing star finished Sunday night's race at EchoPark Speedway in 20th position and during the lengthy weather delay before the event finished, it was revealed that he had once again been battling power steering issues.
Dillon also had confirmed power steering issues a fortnight prior at Sonoma, which was even tougher given the track was a road course and not an oval.
As a result of driving through the issue, though, Dillon developed blisters that have now formed calluses where he grips the wheel, which has got to be sore.

Ty Dillon on Kaulig power steering issue
Thankfully, the Kaulig Racing star says that his team is working on finding a solution.
"Yeah, we are," Dillon told TNT Sports when asked if Kaulig were working on a fix.
"We work really hard, and I think it's probably two different issues right now.
"Sonoma, we'd still be in this In-Season Challenge if we wouldn't have lost power steering there. We lost it with 20 to go and that was a pretty brutal physical challenge in itself.
"But you know, it's just we're working through some stuff and, you know, it's not as bad as it was in Sonoma here, but it's still pretty brutal and we'll get it figured out."
Focusing on the positives, Dillon chose to highlight the speed that his car has had in recent weeks, despite the power steering troubles.
"The good thing is our car's have been really fast, especially our #10 team, I'd say ever since the All-Star Race at Dover," he continued.
"We've had really good speed, and I'd say we're a 15th-20th place car every week, and it's a matter of if we execute and cross the t's and dot the i's."
