Denny Hamlin might be the best NASCAR driver not to win a Cup Series title.

Hamlin, born on November 18, 1980 in Tampa, Florida, has enjoyed a glittering career in the sport's premier series.

Denny was good from the very start, being named Rookie Of The Year in 2006, and ever since he has been prolific in winning Cup Series races.

At the end of the 2025 season Denny had racked up 60 Cup Series race wins, but he is still missing that elusive Cup Series title. In 2025 he missed out agonizingly to Kyle Larson after leading the Championship race in Phoenix for more than 200 laps.

As well as driving the No. 11 Toyota car for Joe Gibbs Racing, Hamlin co-owns the 23XI Racing team along with basketball legend Michael Jordan.

Named in 2023 as one of the greatest stock car racing drivers of all time when he was enshrined in the 'NASCAR 75'.

Off the track Denny has three children with his fiancee Jordan Fish - daughters Taylor James and Molly Gold, and son Jameson Drew.

The Hamlin family lives in Huntersville, North Carolina.
