It's now under one month until the official NASCAR 2026 season-opening weekend at Daytona International Speedway, but some teams are still finalizing their lineups for the new campaign.

ThorSport Racing became the latest team to reveal driver news this week, announcing that Canadian driver Cole Butcher will drive their No. 13 Ford F-150 full-time in the Truck Series this season.

The Porters Lake, Nova Scotia native has just two previous NASCAR outings under his belt, which came for Halmar Friesen Racing in the Truck Series last season at Bristol and Phoenix. In those races, Butcher finished 23rd on both occasions.

Despite his limited NASCAR experience, the 29-year-old does have experience elsehwere having won titles such as the ASA Maritime Pro Stock Tour Championship and Southern Super Series Championship.

Butcher's debut for the team will now come at the season-opening race weekend at Daytona International Speedway next month.

That weekend, the Truck Series drivers will take part in the Fresh From Florida 250 that will see them complete 100 laps of the iconic track on February 13.

“I’m incredibly grateful to Duke, Rhonda, and Allison Thorson for giving me this opportunity in 2026,” Butcher said in an official statement.

“This team has a long history of success and championships, to be trusted with the No. 13 Ford F-150 full-time is something I don’t take lightly.

"I’m excited for what’s ahead and ready to get to work with this group.”

Partner announcements for Butcher's Ford F-150 will be made at a later date.
