Kaulig Racing chief Chris Rice has denied that the team has its 2026 driver lineup locked down, despite some rumors to the contrary.

The team has a number of seats to fill out this year as they mark RAM's return to NASCAR in the Truck Series, and has been linked with a pair of drivers whose combined age is nearly 100.

Tony Stewart and Kasey Kahne have both been linked with the team this month, although Stewart's rumored involvement has been limited to a guest appearance at the 2026 All-Star Race weekend.

Kahne returned to the sport this year after being away since 2018, driving a single Xfinity Series race at Rockingham for Richard Childress Racing.

Kaulig boss: We'd love any ex-Dodge drivers

On SiriusXM NASCAR Radio this week, however, Rice insisted that his team are yet to put pen to paper on any driver deals beyond those already announced.

“We do not have a contract with either one of those guys," he said. "Do we have a conversation about those guys? Absolutely. Do we have a conversation about everybody who drove their Dodge car? Absolutely, you put in every single person that’s been in a Dodge car, right?

“Let’s talk about Layne Riggs’ dad. I think he drove a Dodge, we were talking about him the other day, you know? We’ve talked about all those guys, and are they going to drive a truck?

"I mean, if it’s available, we would love for anybody to drive a truck that would like to that’s driven a Dodge car before, or a RAM, but there’s no contracts with us that they’re going to drive anything yet.

"We have two other trucks that we have to announce the drivers for, and when RAM is ready to announce those drivers, we’ll do it. But as of right now, they do not have a contract with us.”
