A week rarely goes by in the NASCAR Cup Series without Carson Hocevar in the headlines.
And, be it for the right or wrong reasons, the Spire Motorsports star is clearly a huge draw for sponsors, as exhibited by a report from Sports Business Journal.
Carson Hocevar in talks with Monster
According to SBJ, Monster Energy is currently in negotiations with the 23-year-old over a personal-services agreement.
As a result, they claim that Hocevar could start endorsing the energy drink brand as soon as this season, which could manifest itself as logo placement on his helmet and race suit.
However, don't expect a Monster-themed No. 77 Chevrolet this year, with the agreement being a personal one with Hocevar rather than a team agreement with Spire Motorsports.
Monster Energy is owned by the Monster Beverage Corporation, which has a reported market cap of $75 billion.

The deals keep on coming for Hocevar
If Hocevar were to land an agreement with Monster Energy, it would continue a great year for the 23-year-old in terms of securing his future.
In February, Hocevar signed a fresh new long-term contract at Spire Motorsports that will see him remain with the team into the next decade.
Upon signing that deal, the driver of the No. 77 Chevrolet said: "This shows we’re all committed and eager to race with each other for a long time.
“I think of Jeff (Dickerson, team co-owner) as a father figure, but the same could be said for Luke (Lambert, crew chief), Tyler (Green, spotter), Bill (Anthony, team president), and all the No. 77 guys. Everyone in the building has really become a family to me.
“Spire is such a different team now compared to how it was my rookie season, and especially when I made my debut in 2023. It’s fun to know I’m going to be around the Cup garage for a long time, and really a dream come true.”
