NASCAR legend Kevin Harvick has become the latest figure in the sport to sound the alarm over Kyle Busch and Richard Childress Racing's partnership.

Busch's winless streak could reach 100 races this weekend at Martinsville if he fails to find the pace which has so far eluded him so far this year – and for some time before.

The two-time Cup Series champion's best finish so far in 2026 was 12th at COTA, and he doesn't have a single race finish better than fifth in more than 50 race starts.

Busch moved to RCR for the start of the 2023 season and looked great right off the bat, winning three of his first 15 races with the team before something threw out the anchor and stopped the partnership right in its tracks. He has not won since.

Harvick: I'm worried how this ends

Set for free agency at the end of the season, Busch set the Coca-Cola 600 as the line at which he'd know whether he was happy with his team's progress over the winter and through the start of the year. With that race now less than two months away and no progress being made, one of the sport's greatest winners may be looking for a new drive sooner than later.

Speaking on this week's episode of Speed, one-time Cup champion Harvick said: "I think when you look at Kyle Busch, one of our sport's greatest drivers that we've ever seen behind the wheel, and I think this Gen 7 car, when he first went to RCR, they won a couple races right off the bat.

"Ever since halfway through that first year at RCR, it's slowly deteriorated. We all want to see hope for Kyle Busch. We want to see him in victory lane. We want to see RCR in victory lane. But they just don't have the speed. You can see the frustration.

"This is a contract year for Kyle Busch, and I'm a little worried, as to how this whole thing ends with Kyle Busch and RCR. So, a lot of pressure on Kyle to go out and perform, and right now they just have no performance on the racetrack."
