NASCAR Cup Series race-winner Josh Berry has opened up on his excitement for the 2026 season.

Berry, 35, took a long time to break into the Cup Series, not getting a full-time driver in NASCAR's premier series until he was 33 years old when Stewart-Haas Racing signed him to replace Kevin Harvick in their No. 4 car.

He signed a multi-year deal to move to Wood Brothers Racing at the end of that season, moving to replace Harrison Burton and drive the No. 21 car.

The team had only won one race in the previous seven years (Burton in the 2024 Coke Zero Sugar 400), but a great start to the year saw Berry visit victory road in just his fifth race for the team, at Las Vegas.

Berry's season also included seven more top-ten finishes, including second place at New Hampshire behind Ryan Blaney.

The 35-year-old is in Lucama, North Carolina for the Late Model Stock Cars Thanksgiving Classic, a race he won in 2021 and 2022.

Speaking while getting ready for that race, Berry talked up his excitement for 2026 in the Cup Series, saying: “It’s such a big deal winning in the Cup Series man. It’s such a journey to get there, and to accomplish that was really huge.

"Honestly, had a lot of good runs throughout the season as well. We’re excited to keep the same group, go back and have a year under our belt and hopefully we can find our way back to victory lane.”
