Joe Gibbs has hailed Chase Briscoe and the impact he has had on his racing team following his latest NASCAR victory at Chicagoland Speedway on Sunday.

Briscoe led home a Joe Gibbs Racing 1-2-3 ahead of teammates Christopher Bell and Denny Hamlin in Sunday's eero 400, taking his first win of the season and closing the gap on the top five in the Cup Series standings.

It is Briscoe's fifth win since becoming a Joe Gibbs Racing driver at the start of 2025, and his team owner could not be happier with both Briscoe the driver and the person.

Joe Gibbs on 'first-class' Chase Briscoe

"He’s just a first-class person," Gibbs replied when asked about what Briscoe had brought to JGR since joining the team at the start of last season.

"The one thing when we were talking about bringing Chase on board, the thing that really stuck out, every sponsor he had been with really was saying something to us about wanting to come on board. He just does a great job with the sponsors he had before.

"Now obviously, and he and Johnny [Morris, Bass Pro Shops owner] got along great, and they had just taken off together. Great partners there. I think he loves being with Johnny. He’s an outdoors guy. He’s a fisherman and all that.

"Then, of course, you mentioned his faith. He’s just a really strong, godly, young guy. Great family. That’s great to have him on our team, for sure, because that means a lot, too. First class.

"I think last year, I mean, who would have dreamed last year sat on seven poles and do everything he did last year and go to the final four, he and James [Small, Crew Chief], all that they did was just, it was a huge deal for our company. And it’s great for the future for us going forward."
