NASCAR legend Kevin Harvick has teased fans that he could make a stunning return to the sport.

Harvick last raced in NASCAR in 2023, retiring from the stock car racing series after that campaign with a Cup Series record of 826 races, 60 wins, 251 top fives, and 444 top 10s. He does, however, continue to race Late Models alongside his son Keelan.

The 2014 Cup Series champion made comments regarding a NASCAR return when discussing the new championship format and NASCAR ditching the playoffs in favor of The Chase.

Of course, the Chase is not the only thing from the past that is set for a NASCAR return this season, with three-time Cup Series champion Tony Stewart making a one-off comeback in the Truck Series at Daytona in February, which was mentioned by one of Harvick's co-hosts during the chat.

Kevin Harvick teases NASCAR comeback

Speaking on his Happy Hour podcast, in response to his co-host Kaitlyn Vincie claiming that what’s old is new, Harvick said: “It’s like going to the antique store,”

"You know, I might just make a comeback. Why not, right?

“Tony Stewart’s gonna drive the truck race at Daytona. Why not? When should we race? I’m starting to get the bug again I think.”

Harvick later added: “Cup’s too much work, what can I just get in and drive?”

After Vincie and Mamba Smith suggested an O'Reilly Series or Truck Series race, the conversation then turned to the last time that Harvick won in a NASCAR truck.

“I don't know,” he replied. “ I know I won the last…we won the owners' championship, and then I think we won the race as well at KHI [Kevin Harvick Inc.].

“I ran a couple of other truck races when we sold the team as part of the deal. Got myself in trouble. Got a hammer thrown at me, made a fool out of myself.”

Kevin Harvick's Truck Series record

Having made his debut in the Truck Series in 1995, Harvick went on to race a total of 124 times in trucks, with his last appearance coming in 2021.

His record stands at 14 wins, 48 top fives, and 62 top 10s, although he could add to that tally if he were to return.
