NASCAR Cup Series stars Kyle Larson and Tyler Reddick were among the drivers hit with a penalty during Sunday's race at Chicagoland Speedway.
While all cars cleared post-race technical inspection without issue and Chase Briscoe's win was made official, the race officials were kept busy during the action, with a total of 21 penalties recorded on NASCAR's infraction sheet.
This included a tail-end penalty for Larson for pitting before pit road was open on lap 96, and a pass-through penalty for Reddick after a tire violation on lap 233.
Pitting before pit road was open was the most common infraction during the race, with 14 penalties handed out as a result.
Elsewhere, NASCAR also issued penalties for speeding on pit road and for having too many crew members in contact with the pit service area.
