The 2026 NASCAR Cup Series hits Michigan International Speedway today, Sunday, June 7th, and we've got all of the information you need to know ahead of the race action.
Sunday's race, titled the Firekeepers Casino 400, is set to see the Cup Series stars complete 200 laps of the 2-mile asphalt oval, with stage breaks due on laps 45 and 120 before an 80-lap run to the black and white checkered flag.
Last year at Nashville, it was Joe Gibbs Racing star Denny Hamlin who emerged victorious, finishing ahead of the likes of Chris Buescher and Ty Gibbs on that occasion.
Hamlin put his car on pole in Saturday's qualifying session, but faces a mammoth task if he is to repeat last year's success. The No. 11 sustained damage in practice that will need fixing ahead of the race, and as a result, he will start from the rear when the flag goes green on Sunday afternoon.
With that said, the race victory is totally up for grabs, and we can't wait to see who comes out on top!
