NASCAR has announced its 2027 Hall of Fame class at a ceremony in Charlotte.
The voting panel met on Tuesday afternoon to decide upon the new inductees – two from the Modern Era ballot, one from the Pioneer Ballot, plus one winner of the Landmark Award for Outstanding Contributions.
Kevin Harvick was inducted on his first time on the ballot, a fitting accolade for a former Cup Series champion with 60 wins to his name who has given the sport so much more on top of that as an owner and broadcaster.
Jeff Burton will join Harvick in being enshrined in the Hall, a prolific winner in both the Cup and Nationwide Series who later headed the Drivers’ Advisory Council, and whose son Harrison races in the O'Reilly Series today.
Meanwhile, Larry Phillips, a five-time NASCAR Weekly Series national champion, was inducted via the Pioneer Ballot, and Lesa France Kennedy, NASCAR Executive Vice Chair and one of the most influential women in motorsports, won the Landmark Award for Outstanding Contributions.
The 49-person voting panel was made up of former drivers, crew chiefs, media personnel and NASCAR execs, with a fan vote forming the 50th ballot.
Harvick was named on 46 of those 50 ballots, Phillips on 19 and Burton on 16. The next closest person to induction in Modern Era voting was Neil Bonnett, followed by Randy Dorton and Greg Biffle.
