With Sunday's NASCAR Cup Series race at Chicagoland Speedway in the books, so too is another round of the 2026 In-Season Challenge.
16 drivers remained at the green flag on Sunday evening, but the number of drivers now battling for the $1 million prize has been cut to just eight after a round of thrilling matchups.
William Byron, for example, came out on top in his head-to-head against reigning champion and Hendrick Motorsports teammate Kyle Larson, while Chase Briscoe's race victory saw him defeat his Joe Gibbs Racing teammate Ty Gibbs.
Elsewhere in round two, Alex Bowman also got the better of Austin Cindric, while Todd Gilliland came out on top in his matchup with Carson Hocevar.
Denny Hamlin, the highest remaining seed left in the challenge, also advanced to round three, overcoming Erik Jones, while other names to advance included Ryan Blaney, Christopher Bell and Chase Elliott.

NASCAR In-Season Challenge Round 3 matchups
After the above results, the round three matchups are now set for this weekend's action at Atlanta.
There will once again be an intra-team battle at Joe Gibbs Racing, with Denny Hamlin taking on Christopher Bell, while another exciting matchup sees William Byron go head-to-head with Ryan Blaney.
Elsewhere, it's a battle of the Chases with Briscoe set to go up against Elliott, while the final matchup sees Alex Bowman take on Todd Gilliland.
