Heading into 2026 with 259 Cup Series races under his belt, Trackhouse Racing star Ross Chastain is increasingly establishing himself as a force in NASCAR.
With wins and multiple playoff appearances in recent seasons, the Alva, Florida native is a threat at plenty of race tracks throughout the campaign, with his total win tally now standing at six.
That included a stunning victory at the prestigious Coca-Cola 600 last May, where Chastain edged Hendrick Motorsports' William Byron by just 0.673 seconds at Charlotte Motor Speedway to lock himself into the playoffs.
Interestingly, though, Chastain doesn't believe that was the most important victory of his career.
In a recent video on the NASCAR YouTube channel, Chastain was posed a number of questions asked by Reddit users, one of which quizzed the Melon Man on his biggest and most important victory to date.

Ross Chastain's most important victory
Whilst many would have expected him to say his Coca Cola 600 win given it is a crown jewel event, instead, Chastain chose his first ever Cup Series victory at COTA, and for good reason.
“I think overall, the first win was the most important,” Chastain explained.
“Until you win, how can you ever know that you can do it? So it was worth it for me at that point in my career, for Trackhouse, solidifying me in the Cup Series.
“Can’t look past the first one for importance.”
Chastain did, however, admit that if he was strictly talking the 'biggest' win of his career, the Coca Cola 600 win would come into play.
“The biggest, though, I don’t know if that one or the [Coca Cola] 600 one was bigger.”
