After some disastrous form from his pit crew so far this season, NASCAR star Ryan Blaney will have a new jackman at Kansas Speedway this weekend, but even that hasn't come without drama.
Following last Sunday's race at Bristol Motor Speedway, where Blaney was beaten to the victory by Ty Gibbs, the No. 12 crew has lost their driver 86 places on pit road in the opening eight races.

To try and remedy this, on Thursday, it was revealed that Blaney's jackman, Landon Honeycutt, would be leaving the No. 12 crew, swapping with the jackman of the No. 21, Patrick Gray.
Wood Brothers Racing and Team Penske have a close technical alliance, and so it was an easy change to make. However, unfortunately for Blaney, that is not the end of it.

Ryan Blaney pit crew update ahead of Kansas
Just hours after the above was revealed, it has now emerged that Blaney will not, in fact, have Patrick Gray as his jackman for this weekend's action at Kansas.
Team Penske has confirmed to Oval Insider that Gray won't be in Kansas due to personal reasons.
Instead, Graham Stoddard will be on jackman duties for the No. 12 Team Penske crew. Stoddard joins from the No. 4 car belonging to Front Row Motorsports, where he has performed the same role for Noah Gragson so far this season.
In Stoddard's place, Tommy Bebie, who is the jackman for the No. 51 and Cody Ware, will be replacing Stoddard on the No. 4 crew this time out.
Honeycutt, meanwhile, will remain with the No. 21 crew at Wood Brothers Racing, as originally planned.
It is unclear whether or not Gray will be jacking for Blaney post-Kansas, or whether Stoddard will remain on the No. 12 crew permanently. Oval Insider understands that these decisions will be made post-Kansas.
