Tyler Reddick has opened up on his impending contract extension with 23XI Racing, after a historic start to the 2026 season.
Reddick became the first driver to win the first three races of a NASCAR Cup Series season when he took victory at COTA at the start of the month, and added on a fourth victory of the year last Sunday at Darlington.
23XI co-owner Denny Hamlin revealed on his Actions Detrimental podcast this week that a new deal is near completion for the current points leader, who is in a contract year, and Reddick has now spoken to about the prospect of putting pen to paper.
The team has been heavily committed to the 30-year-old since agreeing a contract to him in mid-2022 to leave Richard Childress Racing for the 2024 season – before eventually agreeing a deal to get him out of that RCR contract 12 months early.
Of the man who he pushed so hard to sign, Hamlin said: “He’s become what I hoped, and that is a more complete race car driver. There’s many fast (drivers) that are rough around the edges; (Reddick) wasn’t rough around the edges, but he just wasn’t refined in how he approached races, how he chose to race hard at – he was a hard all the time guy.
"I think that we’ve really kind of helped him with his race craft, learn when to attack and when you can be conservative. That’s the biggest change I’ve seen in him over the last few years. It’s just refining that.”

Reddick: Looking forward to signing contract
“I’m just really proud of where we are today and the progress we’re making. I want to be here; I love racing here at 23XI and I’m looking forward to getting all buttoned up so we can move on.”
He added: “I love what Denny, Michael and Curtis (Polk, co-owner), and all of the ownership group has built here. I wanted to be a part of it then, and I still want to be part of it now.
"We’ve been really building some great things. Obviously, 2025 was tough for all of us, but we have the right people here to turn it around, and we did a really good job of that this offseason.”
