Donald Trump's granddaughter Kai has shared a video of her NASCAR experience, after a recent trip to Daytona.

The 18-year-old made the trip with her father, Donald Jr., and admitted she nearly passed out on the hot lap.

Trump appeared to be driven around the track by NASCAR VP Chad Seigler, who promised speeds up to around 170mph – a little shy of full race pace, but almost certainly faster than most people have ever been on four wheels.

In her YouTube video, she said: "We are in Daytona to drive NASCAR cars around a track. This track is absolutely massive! I have never been to Daytona before, so this should be fun."

Kai Trump: Nothing compares to NASCAR lap

Some doubts began to creep in as she arrived at the track, saying: "I don't know if I want to do this anymore, I am scared. I love speed, don't get me wrong."

However, she climbed into the car and completed the experience, saying afterward: "First time around, I was like 'I am gonna pass out'. That was worse than my driving! I almost passed out at first because of the G-force. That is insane. I'm not driving that fast, I don't trust myself.

"That was scary, really, really scary. Nothing compares. My driving is really not that fast compared to that. It's a little crazy!"

The teenager made her debut on golf's LPGA Tour at The Annika toward the end of last year, although she ended up carding an opening round of 83 to bring up the rear on the leaderboard.
