23XI Racing star Tyler Reddick has opened up on his approaching free agency, with the 2026 season the last of his current contract.
Just a year ago, the 30-year-old seemed like a lock to be the piece around which the Michael Jordan-led team tried to build their future after winning the regular season title. He still probably is that, but a winless 2025 has put a dampener on his value heading into this year.
Speaking ahead of what he hopes can be a bounce-back year, Reddick insisted that he isn't worried about his future at the team or in the sport, as long as he can continue to stick to his process.
There were concerns throughout last year over the future of 23XI as a chartered team in NASCAR as their legal battle against the sport progressed, but they are now the proud owners of permanent charters after a settlement in December.
Reddick unconcerned by free agency
Speaking to Bob Pockrass at a Fox Sports production day last week, Reddick said: "I just work as hard as I can. I try and leave every last ounce of myself out there on the racetrack every single week.
"As long as I stay committed to being myself, being who I am and driving to my limit and continuing to find ways to improve, I'm not worried about it."
Reddick was also asked whether an offer from another team with better financial terms could persuade him to sign elsewhere, and appeared to reject that idea.
"More so than anything," he said, "I'm a race-car driver, and I show up with the intent to compete for wins every single week. So that's what's really important to me."
