NASCAR Cup Series outfit Legacy Motor Club has confirmed new celebrity ownership, with Emmy-winning TV chef Guy Fieri joining the team.
Fieri is set to become a strategic owner with the Cup Series outfit, the team, whose majority owner is seven-time Cup Series champion Jimmie Johnson, announced ahead of Sonoma.
Fieri's involvement will also go beyond that of a standard owner, with Legacy Motor Club having confirmed plans for collaborative content, fan engagement initiatives, and licensed merchandise that brings together racing, food, and lifestyle culture.
Fieri becomes the latest celebrity to join Legacy Motor Club, with three-time Grammy-award-winning artist Darius Rucker having joined the team as an investor back in March.

Jimmie Johnson on Guy Fieri joining Legacy Motor Club
Speaking in an official team statement, majority co-owner Johnson said: “Guy has built an incredible brand by being authentic and connecting with people in a real way. That’s at the heart of what we’re building here.
"We want Legacy to reach far beyond race day, and Guy’s creativity, energy, and perspective are exactly what this ownership group is about.”
Elsewhere, Fieri himself revealed what made the team such an attractive proposition.
“Motorsports and race cars have always had that raw energy I love — the people, the passion, the culture, the speed," said Fieri.
“Legacy Motor Club is building something different, and I wanted to be part of it.
"This is about more than racing — it’s about creating a brand that connects with fans everywhere, from the track to the table.”
