NASCAR outfit Joe Gibbs Racing have announced an exciting new driver deal for the 2026 season.

Whilst JGR's Cup Series roster has been locked in for some time, with Denny Hamlin, Chase Briscoe and Christopher Bell set to drive the Nos. 11, 19 and 20 next season, the team have now moved to reveal further details regarding their O'Reilly Auto Parts Series program.

As per an official press release, Toyota development driver Brent Crews will drive the No. 19 Toyota GR for 29 races in the series next season, as it is rebranded from the Xfinity Series.

Crews, who is just 17 years old at present, will make his debut for the team at Circuit of the Americas (COTA) - the third race of the 2025 season - with NASCAR's updated eligibility rules allowing him to compete on road courses and oval tracks 1.25 miles or shorter in length before his 18th birthday, which comes on March 30

Once 18 and therefore eligible for all races, Crews will assume full-time responsibilities in the No. 19 and be paired with crew chief Seth Chavka.

Speaking as part of JGR's official press release, Crews revealed he was thankful to be joining such an established team.

“I’m grateful for the opportunity to be able to race with a winning organization and Toyota,” Crews said.

“I’ve learned a lot so far with the ARCA program and at the track with the No.19 team.

"I have a lot to prepare for this season, but I feel confident with all the resources that JGR and Toyota provide to help with an easy transition.”

Elsewhere, Steve de Souza, Executive Vice President of O’Reilly Auto Parts Series and Development for JGR, added: “We are excited to have Brent continue his racing career with us this upcoming season.

“He showed a lot of success in our equipment throughout the 2025 ARCA season, and we are confident that he will continue to be a top contender in the O’Reilly Series.”
