It's finally here. We've had the pre-season exhibition at Bowman Gray to whet our collective appetite, and now it's time for the biggest race on the planet.
NASCAR rolls into the Daytona International Speedway this week, and will be on the track as soon as Wednesday morning for practice before the key qualifying session in the evening.
William Byron will be coming into the race looking for an unprecedented threepeat after his victories in 2024 and 2025, while Denny Hamlin is looking to bounce back from a difficult winter by becoming just the third man to win the Great American Race five times.
Meanwhile, Kyle Larson will be looking to add to his second Cup Series title by finally winning at Daytona for the first time in his career.
