A heartwarming interaction between the sons of Kyle Larson and Kyle Busch during NASCAR's tribute to the latter filled many hearts on Sunday, and the reigning Cup Series champion says he's feeling proud.
Following the tragic passing of Busch at the age of 41 last Thursday, NASCAR paid tribute to the late two-time champion ahead of Sunday's Coca Cola 600, with Busch's wife, Samantha and two children, Brexton and Lennix, present.
It was incredibly brave of the family just days after Kyle's passing, and the emotional toll it took was sadly there for all to see.
There was one moment that really caught people's attention, though, when 11-year-old Owen Larson walked over to Brexton Busch and hugged him. A simple, but powerful gesture.

Kyle Larson 'proud' of son Owen
Speaking following the weekend's action, Larson has now revealed just how proud he was of his son during that moment.
“When Owen walked over there to put his arm around Brexton, that made me obviously very, very proud of him,” Larson explained to Entertainment Tonight.
“And to see the emotion on Owen's face when he came back over was also a proud moment because you don't know how an 11-year-old is going to kind of grasp the situation and understand what has happened and the pain that they're going through.
“I was also very proud of Brexton and how he was staying strong right then; you could tell, it gave my heart a lot of comfort.”
