NASCAR Cup Series driver John Hunter Nemechek is set for double duty at the official season-opening weekend at Daytona.
The 2021 Truck Series regular season champion will return to the division for the first time since 2023 for the Fresh From Florida 250, lining up for Halmar Friesen Racing in their No. 62 Toyota Tundra.
With Daytona 500 qualifying, the Daytona duels, and the race itself to contend with already, it's now set to be an even busier week in Florida for the 28-year-old.
Still, he will fancy his chances of success in the Truck Series given his record in the division. 149 races, 13 victories, 51 top fives.
Nemechek's effort will be supported by Drive Value, which will be featured on the hood of his truck during the event.

John Hunter Nemechek set for Truck Series return
“I’m really excited to get back behind the wheel in the Truck Series, especially at a place like Daytona,” said Nemechek.
“I’m extremely grateful to Halmar Friesen Racing and Stewart (Friesen) for the opportunity to drive the No. 62 Toyota. Daytona is such a special track, and any time you get the chance to compete there, it means a lot.
"I’m looking forward to making the most of this opportunity and having a strong run with the support of HFR and DriveValue.com.”
Elsewhere, team co-owner Stewart Friesen, who himself will be returning to action in the Truck Series at Daytona after a lengthy layoff following a wreck, said: “I speak for everyone at HFR by saying how pumped we are to have John Hunter kick off our first season as a full-time two-truck team at Daytona.
“His track record and experience speaks for itself, and we all know he will do a great job competing for a win in the biggest race of the year.
"We also welcome the DriveValue.com team to the Craftsman Truckseries and are thankful for their support of John Hunter at the World Center of Racing.”
