NASCAR star Christopher Bell has teed up an exciting showdown with Cup Series rival Kyle Larson at the 2026 Chili Bowl.

The two drivers are among several NASCAR stars competing at this week's prestigious midget racing event in Tulsa, Oklahoma, with both drivers having been very successful there previously.

Indeed, Larson and Bell have won three Chili Bowls apiece, with the former having won in 2020, 2021 and 2025 and the latter in 2017, 2018 and 2019.

Larson and Bell set for Chili Bowl showdown

Now, they will both be racing for another golden driller come Saturday night. Larson won his qualifying event on Monday to lock himself into Saturday's championship action, whilst Bell dramatically followed suit on Thursday evening.

After winning the Race of Champions from pole on Monday night, Bell went undefeated in Thursday's action, winning his heat race, qualifier, and the 30-lap preliminary feature, the latter with a bit of help from a late race caution.

“This place is magic,” said Bell post-race. “It’s never over until it’s over, and that’s the way it is here."

The Joe Gibbs Racing star added: “I didn’t think I was going to get there.

“When the yellow came out, I don’t know how far away those guys were, but I just didn’t really have the pace.

"Everyone was really committed to the top, and I really wasn’t able to keep up.”

Bell: Car not good enough for victory

In the end, he did get there, but despite his success so far this week, Larson isn't confident that he can add to his Golden Driller collection on Saturday night.

“The car is insanely fast. Like, it is just really, really fast. Every time I hit the track it’s got great pace. I just am struggling with being consistent enough,” Bell admitted.

“I don’t think it’s good enough to win on Saturday. I’ve just got to make the car a little more drivable.

“It clearly has the speed. If I can get to driving it a little more consistent, we’ll be right there.”
