The NASCAR offseason is here, so it looks like Cup Series champion Ryan Blaney timed things absolutely perfectly when it comes to life away from the track.
The 31-year-old superstar from Hartford Township in Ohio failed to add to his 2023 championship success when the 2025 season closed down in Phoenix earlier this month. He had already exited the playoffs as four drivers battled it out in the Arizona desert.
Blaney did claim victory in that final Championship race, but it was minor consolation in the grand scheme of things for a campaign where he eventually finished sixth in the final standings.
Ryan Blaney and wife Gianna introduce first child
A couple of weeks later though, he did notch a way bigger win - with the birth of his first child.
Ryan married wife Gianna last December, and by July the Blaneys announced that they were expecting their first baby. The Team Penske star said at the time: “We’re in the winter, so that takes a lot of stress off. I can’t say we necessarily drew it up that way.”
Now the new arrival is with us, after Gianna and Ryan made the beautiful announcement on Gianna's Instagram page. She shared a collection of adorable photos of the little one, along with the message ‘Charley Bennett Blaney, 11/17”.
Stars celebrate Baby Blaney
The congratulatory messages for Ryan and Gianna on the birth of their son flooded in with a host of celebs adding to the celebrations. Including actor Sydney Sweeney and influencer Livvy Dunne among others.
The person who summed things up best might have been Jordan Fish, fiancee of Blaney’s great rival Denny Hamlin.
She said: “ Oh my goodness! What a wonderful early Thanksgiving gift from God! He is perfect.”
