You know what NASCAR hasn't had enough of in 2026? Weather-affected race weekends.

While Saturday looks set fair at Pocono Raceway, the same can't be said of Sunday, when the Cup Series is supposed to kick off a 160-lap race around the Tricky Triangle.

The National Weather Service currently has Sunday flagged as a 50 per cent chance of rain, with thunderstorms potentially in the area through the afternoon – although it'll be warm, with highs nearing 80 degrees.

Those warm temperatures could be helpful in getting the track back to racing conditions if the rain does arrive, with NASCAR hoping that any disruption would be brief rather than race-ruining.
