NASCAR legend Dale Earnhardt Jr. has revealed which current Cup Series stars could match Denny Hamlin and hit 60 wins.

The 2025 Cup Series campaign might have ended in heartbreak for Denny Hamlin, but it was still an incredible year for the Joe Gibbs Racing star.

Whilst he remains without a championship win to his name, his six victories throughout the season have seen him move sharply up the all-time Cup Series win list.

Hamlin's final victory of the season came at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in October, and crucially, it moved him on to 60 wins during his career, putting him tied 10th with 2014 champion Kevin Harvick for Cup victories.

It is a stunning achievement for the 44-year-old, and at the time, Earnhardt Jr discussed whether or not it might be the last time that we see a NASCAR driver hit the 60-win mark.

Earnhardt Jr assesses 60-win NASCAR candidates

Of course, Kyle Busch is above Hamlin on 68 Cup Series wins currently, but going through the current crop of drivers yet to hit the milestone, Earnhardt Jr isn't confident any of them will do it.

"Chase Elliott is at 21," Earnhardt Jr said on the Dale Jr. Download podcast. "I think he will retire before that is possible.

"I think if Chase Elliott wanted to go win 60 races and stick around that long, he'd have a shot at it. But I think he gets out before.

"He's like, 'Alright y'all, I'm going to hide in the hills of Georgia, you'll never see me again.'"

Earnhardt Jr. continued: "I think Kyle Larson could do it, maybe Joey (Logano),"

"Joey needs to run better during the regular season. He's 13 away from 50; he will get to 50 easily. I think Joey lands around 55 wins in his career.

"Brad Keselowski is at 36, so I don't see him getting there. Brad will be lucky to see 40. Kyle Larson at 32 wins, if he wants to race long enough, he can do it. I think Kyle Larson doesn't race long enough."

The fact that so many big names are predicted to fall well short of Hamlin's total shows just what an achievement it is for the Joe Gibbs Racing star to have hit 60 wins.

Let's not forget, he's racing in the Cup Series for at least two more seasons, too, and given his current form, be surprised if his final win total ends up closer to 70, if not more.
