NASCAR has released its in-race penalty report following Sunday's action at Darlington Raceway, with 23XI Racing punished multiple times.
Tyler Reddick went on to win Sunday's Goodyear 400 in South Carolina, but had to do so after being hit with a double penalty on lap 92.
The No. 45 team was penalized for 'pitting before pit road is open', and for having 'too many crewmember(s) in contract with pit service area', sent to the rear as a result.
It wasn't the only time 23XI had trouble on pit road, though. Bubba Wallace and the No. 23 crew were penalized twice for 'pitting before pit road is open' and again for having 'too many crewmember(s) in contract with pit service area'. Riley Herbst in the No. 35 was also punished for 'pitting before pit road is open' on lap 197.
Elsewhere at Darlington, other penalties included Carson Hocevar being sent to the rear for 'unapproved adjustments' pre-race, Cody Ware and Michael McDowell (twice!) being penalized for 'speeding on pit road', and Ryan Blaney being punished for 'car pitting outside of assigned pit box'.
