Connor Zilisch's father has revealed an incredible early Christmas present from JR Motorsports.
Zilisch broke records on his way to a ten-win season in the Xfinity Series this year, although he was robbed of a deserved championship by the under-fire NASCAR playoff system at Phoenix to end the year.
It became a running joke on the teenager's winning streak that his car was running out of room for the win stickers put on cars after every visit to victory lane, with the No. 88 car sporting a long trail of them above the left-hand window.
That window – or, at least, the bodywork – now resides in the Zilisch residence, with Connor's father Jim revealing a picture of the gift on Twitter.
Watch your step, Connor
One particularly charming touch is the application of a 'DO NOT STEP' sticker on the base of the window frame, nodding back to Zilisch's infamous slip and fall at Watkins Glen when climbing onto his roof to celebrate a win.
The bodywork is also signed by members of the team.
Jim Zilisch posted on Monday night: "Some memories will stick with you for a lifetime. Our season with this @JRMotorsports team will never fade. Hard to put into words how special it was. Had most of the team over tonight for some post-season fun & they brough the best gift ever which is no surprise knowing them."
And no, you aren't the only one who spotted the typo – he followed up: "Too cheap for premium so have to live with the dumb typos."
