NASCAR Cup Series star Kyle Busch has issued his verdict on the 'tough' challenge that awaits him at Darlington Raceway this weekend.
All three national NASCAR series are set to be in action at the race track in South Carolina this weekend, with Truck Series action on Friday, followed by O'Reilly and Cup Series racing on Saturday and Sunday, respectively.
Busch will certainly be looking for a rebound after a disappointing 28th-place finish at Las Vegas last time out, and overall, it has been a rough start to the season for the two-time champion.
After taking Daytona 500 pole in February, things have gone rapidly downhill, with the No. 8 car still yet to achieve a top 10 finish through the opening five races.

Kyle Busch previews Darlington Raceway
With the NASCAR schedule coming thick and fast, Busch has an opportunity to put that right this weekend. However, he is under no illusions as to the challenge that the track poses to the drivers.
“Darlington Raceway is tough," Busch said, previewing this weekend's event. "It’s definitely one of the hardest tracks on the schedule with the way the asphalt is worn out.
"You’ve got to run right next to the wall at Darlington. Obviously, the place is famous for the ‘Darlington Stripe’ for a reason. One lap, you feel really good. The next lap, you're out of control, sideways, spinning out. You just never know.
"A lot of times you go through a lot of changes at that track. Starting out the track is always loose. It gets really tight during the middle part of the race and then starts to free up back up at the end. You’re always chasing it with the car.”
Where is Kyle Busch in the NASCAR Cup Series standings?
Heading to Darlington, Busch currently sits 22nd in the Cup Series standings, with 90 points and 11 stage points under his belt.
That total leaves him 18 points outside of The Chase spots, with Shane van Gisbergen currently in 16th on 117 points.
