NASCAR has released the in-race penalty report from Kansas Speedway, revealing that Ryan Blaney's pit crew were punished once again during Sunday's AdventHealth 400.

Blaney's crew was the subject of intense scrutiny in the week leading up to the race, with a new jackman confirmed for the No. 12 team in midweek.

That move was at least partially in response to Blaney losing well over 80 spots on pit road through the first eight races of the season, 30 worse than any other crew leading into Kansas.

The pit crew wasn't primarily responsible for Blaney's 24th place finish on the day – that was his car's crippling lack of pace over the race distance – but they were involved in getting him sent to the rear of the field at the first stage break for too many crewmembers in contact with pit service area.

Elsewhere at Kansas, a few other in-race penalties were also issued for different infractions, including;

  • Pre-Race to the Rear (Unapproved adjustments)
  • Pitting before pit road is open
  • Tire Violation

Post-race, all cars cleared technical inspection, meaning Tyler Reddick's fifth win in nine races was made official. NASCAR also confirmed that no cars will be taken to R&D for further tests.
