A NASCAR outfit has announced an exciting new teenage driver signing, hailing from Las Vegas, Nevada.

The iconic US city has produced some great drivers throughout the years, most notably the Busch brothers, Kurt and Kyle, who, between them, went on to win three Cup Series championships and 97 Cup Series races.

Fellow Las Vegas native Tyler Reif has a long way to go to match such achievements, but he has now taken the next step in his NASCAR career, signing on for a substantial schedule with Niece Motorsports for the 2026 campaign.

This comes after the 18-year-old made his Truck Series debut with the team in 2025, achieving a 9th-place finish at Phoenix's season finale.

A multi-time winner across the ARCA Menards Series, Pro Late Models, Jr. Late Models, and U.S. Legends Cars competition, heading into next year, the team has confirmed that Reif will now be the anchor driver for their No. 42 truck, with his schedule set to take up what has been described as the 'bulk' of the season.

"Tyler proved to us all that he was ready to run more races after his performance in Phoenix," said Cody Efaw, President & CEO of Niece Motorsports.

"I was impressed by his ability to learn as the race weekend went on, and his feedback to the team steered them in the right direction.

"We think he will continue to improve as we take him to several different tracks on the schedule."

Reif reacts

Reif himself added: "I’m so thankful to everyone at Niece Motorsports for this opportunity to race more for them next year.

"Making my debut in Phoenix was a dream come true, and I feel like all of the guys and I connected pretty quickly.

"Now that we have a larger schedule planned ahead of us, I look forward to racing on all types of tracks that I’ve never been to before.

"We all are already working to prepare for next year, and I can’t wait for our first race together."
